Motorola’s BBD Influencer Campaign Generates 406 Million Views and 1 Million Clicks
Motorola India's Flipkart Big Billion Days influencer campaign with Idiotic Media generated 406 million views and 3.31 million engagements. Discover how 800+ creators helped drive 1 million store clicks.
The campaign brought together more than 800 micro and macro creators across YouTube and Instagram, positioning influencer-led content as a key channel for reaching shoppers during one of India’s busiest festive shopping periods. The strategy focused on converting digital attention into direct shopping activity.
With intense competition for consumer attention during the Big Billion Days sale, Motorola moved away from conventional static advertising banners and adopted a category-wise influencer marketing strategy. Idiotic Media organised creators into five verticals: Viral, Tech, Fashion, Retail and Giveaway.
Micro-tech and retail creators played a significant role by demonstrating smartphone capabilities through real-world content and directing high-intent shoppers to Motorola’s Flipkart store pages. The campaign was designed to reach audiences through targeted and relatable creator content rather than conventional promotional messaging.
The 10-day campaign delivered more than 406 million views and 3.31 million total engagements, while generating 1 million direct link clicks. It also contributed to Motorola's social media growth, bringing in more than 250,000 new followers. Of these, 140,000 followers were added during the peak sale window alone, representing 13.23% growth.
Girish Kumar, Brand & Marketing Lead at Motorola, said the campaign demonstrated the importance of conversational marketing in cutting through festive advertising clutter.
"Breaking through festive ad noise requires moving from conventional broadcasting to conversational marketing. In partnership with Idiotic Media, putting micro-influencers at the heart of our strategy allowed us to deliver over 400 million views and 1 million link clicks, turning seasonal buzz into measurable business impact. Plus the highest ever social media & SOV growth in a month’s time with significant impact in searches & buzz across the mediums and platforms," he said.
Himanshu Singla, Founder & CEO at Idiotic Media, highlighted the role of relatable storytelling in influencing consumer engagement and purchasing decisions.
"Relatable human storytelling will always outperform generic sales banners. By surrounding festive shoppers with authentic content across viral, giveaway, and tech niches, we helped Motorola build trust at scale and convert casual viewers into an active community of buyers," he said.
Idiotic Media operates as an influencer marketing and meme marketing agency in India under its parent company, Creatify Media. The agency focuses on helping brands build cultural relevance through social-first and user-generated content-driven storytelling.
Its network comprises more than 165,000 creators and 10,000 meme pages. The company also works on attention-catching micro-dramas and creator-led storytelling to turn brands into conversational talking points.
The Motorola campaign highlights the scale of creator-led marketing during the festive shopping season, with its reported reach, engagement and direct store traffic demonstrating how influencer partnerships can connect social media visibility with measurable consumer action.
